The DIMO Vehicle Assembly plant will roll out its first product, DIMO Batta HT2 which will be then followed by other products in the next few years. DIMO will get the Semi Knock Down Units from TATA Motors and DIMO will do 20% local Value Addition and assemble the DIMO Batta.
The assembly plant was inaugurated with the presence of Mr. Ranjith Pandithage and speaking on the occasion he stated that the inauguration of the vehicle assembly plant will be a significant milestone in the automobile industry in Sri Lanka and will enable us to deliver customized products with local components to local needs on time. Furthermore, he stated that Vehicle Assembly is not a new thing for DIMO as we have assembled vehicles in the past.
