This morning (04), an accident occurred in the center of Passara when a three wheeler collided with a Langama bus and a private bus, causing significant disruption.
In the Marapana area, a Langama bus from the Kalawana depot experienced a mechanical failure when its front right wheel detached during travel.
Around 6:10 a.m. today (04), a car overturned after hitting a culvert near Levwanduwa School, Welipanna, on the Aluthgama-Matugama road. The driver sustained injuries and was admitted to the Kalutara Teaching Hospital.
Near the 53rd Kilometer Kanuwa of the Southern Expressway, a lorry transporting vegetables to Colombo collided with another lorry while attempting to overtake and overturned. One person was injured and taken to Nagoda Hospital.
Last night (03), a car passing through an unprotected railway crossing near Magalla Sudarmarama Temple collided with a train. Four people, including two small children, were seriously injured and admitted to Karapitiya Hospital.
