Multiple Accidents Reported on November 25

 An accident occurred today (25) on the Mullaitivu-Paranthan road in the Vishwamadu area when a large tree fell on a small lorry parked on the road due to bad weather.

In the Kegalle, Molagoda area on the Colombo-Kandy road, a private bus and a Langama bus collided with a lorry while trying to overtake it. The accident, which occurred at around 5:30 a.m., caused the lorry to veer off the road and crash into a garage. Two occupants of the lorry and three passengers in the buses were injured and admitted to the hospital.

This afternoon (25), a car collided with a tractor in the Halawatha Inigodawela area. The tractor driver sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital. The collision caused severe damage to both vehicles, and a wheel from the tractor detached and struck a passing prime mover.

In front of the Piliyandala CIB shopping complex, a bus driver lost control while avoiding a collision with a car crossing carelessly and crashed into a telephone pole and a nearby wall.

At around 11:00 a.m. today (25), a Langama bus collided with a Nissan Pathfinder at a bend on the Gampola-Hemmathagama road.

On the Tissa-Matara main road in the Ambalanthota Malpettawa area, a garment factory bus collided with a parked bus this morning (25). A young woman fell from the bus during the accident, sustaining injuries, and was admitted to Ambalanthota Hospital.

In Watawala, an accident occurred this morning (25) when a Hatton-Kandy bus collided with a Colombo-Hatton bus, causing significant damage to both vehicles.
