The Uva province is bordered by the Eastern, Southern and Central provinces. Its major tourist attractions are water falls including Bambarakande, the highest water fall. The Yala National Park lies partly in the Southern and Eastern Provinces and Gal Oya National Park lies partly in the Eastern Province. The total land area of the province is 8,488 square km in extent. This is the largest province in Sri Lanka and has two national parks, Uda Walawe National Park and Yala National Park. Muthiyangana Raja Maha Vihara is an ancient Buddhist temple located in the middle of Badulla town in the Badulla District of Uva Province in Sri Lanka.
