Coconut Research Board
Applications are invited from citizens of the Democratic
Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka for the following posts of the Coconut Research
Board.
1. Posts of Research Officer [Agronomy Division - (02
posts),
Soils & Plant Nutrition Division - (01 post),
Coconut Processing Research Division (01 Post)]
Qualifications
External : A four- year Special Degree with a first class or
second class upper in Science, Agriculture or Chemical / Mechanical Engineering
from a recognized University
OR
A four-year Special Degree with a second class lower in
Science, Agriculture or Chemical / Mechanical Engineering from a recognized
University and a minimum of one year Postgraduate Degree in the relevant field
OR
A Degree in Science, Agriculture or Chemical / Mechanical
Engineering and a two-year Postgraduate Research Degree in the relevant
discipline
OR
A Post Degree in Engineering and minimum of one year post
qualifying experience in a recognized Institute.
Internal : The Officers appointed to the Operational /
Instructional (MA4) category before 01.01.2006 are eligible to apply with the
following qualifications for the concessionary period of five (5) years with
effect front the date of approval of this Scheme of Recruitment.
i. A Degree in Science, Agriculture or Chemical / Mechanical
Engineering and a minimum of five (05) years satisfactory service in the
Operational / Instructional (MA4) category.
ii. A minimum of ten (10) years satisfactory service in the
Operational / Instructional (MA4) category
Salary Scale :
AR I - 2006A : Rs. (24,725 - 5x550 - 5x645 - 15x770 -
42,250).
Age : Should be not less titan 22 years and not more than 45
years. The upper age limit will not apply to internal candidates.
Note : Preference will be given to the candidates who have
specialized in the fields specified in advertisement viz : Agronomy, Soil
Science and Food Processing Technology.
2. Management Assistant (Store-Keeping)
Qualifications
External :
GCE (OIL) with at least six (6) subjects in one
sitting with four (4) credit passes including Sinhala/Tamil, English and
Mathematics and GCE (A/I.) in Commerce with three passes with credit in
Commerce in one sitting in the relevant subject combination.
AND
Certificate Course in Stores Management from a recognized
organization with minimum of one year experience in Stores Maintenance and
Stock Control Systems in a Government Department / Corporation / Board or
reputed Mercantile Organisation dealing in Building Materials. Motor /
Electrical. Lab Equipment and Chemicals.
Note : Selected
Officer should deposit Rs. 25,000.00 cash as a fidelity bond.
Salary Scale :
MA 1-2-2006 A: Rs. (13,450 - 10x145 - 7x170 - 12x290 -
12x345 - 23,710).
Age :
Should be not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years.
The upper age limit will not apply to internal candidates.
GENERAL Other Benefits
1. Emoluments are presently free from Income lax
1. Gratuity will be paid in accordance with the Gratuity Act
No. 12 01 1983
3. Contributory Medical Aid Scheme
4. Provident Fund and Employees Trust Fund. The candidates
will be required to contribute 10% and the Board will contribute 15% for PF and
3% for ETF of the Salary
5. Other fringe benefits applicable to employees of the
Coconut Research Board.
