Sri Lanka announces squad for the upcoming Bangladesh ODIs

Replacing Dimuth Karunaratne, Kusal Perera the wicket-keeper batsman, will be leading the team, as new ODI captain and Kusal Mendis has been recalled and made vice-captain. Dimuth Karunaratne, Angelo Mathews and Dinesh Chandimal have been dropped in a major shake-up of Sri Lanka's ODI team.

The SLC has appointed the new leaders keeping the 2023 World Cup in mind.

In the 18-member squad announced, SLC has given opportunities to youngsters such as Shiran Fernando, Chamika Karunaratne, Binura Fernando, and Asith Fernando. Danushka Gunathilaka, Vanindu Hasranga, and Eshen Bandara retained their place owing to splendid performance on the Caribbean tour.
