Inviting Applications
For the Post of Curator in the Department
of National Zoological Gardens
Applications are invited from external and internal
candidates with following qualifications for the Curator post in Sri Lanka
Technical Service of the Department of National Zoological Gandens.
Educational
Qualifications :
I. a) Should
have passed General Certificate
of Education
(A/I.) with /zoology or Biology
And
b) Should have successfully
completed a course for not less than two years in Agriculture or Animal
Husbandry from a government or government recognized establishment.
Or
II. c) Should have passed in General Certificate of
Education
(O/L) with Credit passes
either in Biology or Agriculture.
And
d) A service experience in (he
Assistant Curator Post in the Department of National Zoological Gardens for a
period not less than 10 years.
And
HI. Research on wild animals, study of their
collective behavior & maintaining relevant records over them would be a
special qualification.
Age Limit : Should be not less than 18 and more than 40 years of age.
The maximum age limit is not applicable for Departmental employees.
Salary Scale : (MN-03-2006 A) 15005 - 180 x 4 - 240x6,
320x11 -360x20-27885/-.
Conditions of Employment :
This post is permanent and pensionable. Should
subscribe to widows and orphans pension scheme
.
Service Conditions :
In relevance with subsections 12:05 upto 12:15 (12:14)
in Chapter II of Establishment Code.
Procedure of Recruitment :
Via a written test and trade test as per circular No,
15/20 of Establishment Code.
The applicants who have fulfilled the above qualifications
should frame an application as per the specimen application mentioned herein
and send it via Registered Post on or before 05th July 2013, to Director, the
Department of National Zoological Gardens, Anagarika Dharmapala Mawatha,
Dehiwela.
