Applications arc hereby invited from qualified and eligible citizens of Sri Lanka for the following posts lying vacant in the Disaster Management Centre

MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT
(Colombo Head Office) - 02

DISASTER MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT
(District Disaster Management Units) - 02

Qualifications

Should have passed the General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Examination, in six (06) subjects, in one and same sitting with credit passes for Sinhala/Tamil, Mathematics and other subjects
And
Should have passed the General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) Examination in three (03) subjects (excluding Common General Test)

Age: Not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years of age. (This upper age limit wil not be applicable to internal candidates)

Salary scale:
MA 1-1 - 2006 A: Rs. 13,450 - 10x145 - 7x170 - 4x240 - 20x320 - 23,450/= Recruitment will be made at initial salary step of this salary scale.

Nature and appointments
The post is permanent and with entitlement to Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) and Employees' Trust Fund (ETF) contributions.

Method of forwarding applications

Duly prepared applications as per the specimen application form published in the website of the Disaster Management Centre: www.dmc.gov.lk using both side, should be sent by registered post addressed to the Director General, Disaster Management Centre, Vidya Mawatha, Colombo 07, to receive on or before 03.10.2014. The post applied for should be clearly indicated on the top left-hand corner of the envelope, enclosing applications.
Copies of Educational certificates, Service Certificates, Grama Niladhari Certificates issued within not less than 06 months period, birth certificates and the National Identity Card, should also be sent along with the application.
This centre will not be responsible for the applications misplaced or delayed, while in post/mail.

Punishment for false information:
Application forms should be filed with care and attentively with only true and correct information. If any information provided by the candidate found to be false or incorrect on any occasion he/she would be liable to be disqualified and dismissed from the post.
