VACANCY
Applications are called for from Applicants who possess the following educational and other qualifications herein mentioned for the following post which has fallen vacant at the National Film Corporation of Sri Lanka.
Qualifications Educational
(a) Passes Obtained in six (06) subjects at the General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Examination with credit passes in four (4)subjects including
(i) Sinhala/ Tamil(ii) English Language
(iii) Mathematics
obtaining at one and the same sitting and
(b) passes obtained in all the subjects (except in the General Intelligence paper) at the General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) Examination and obtained a qualifying level necessary to follow a tertiary educational course
Technical skill/proficiency
Having successfully completed a one year training course in computer hardware and software technical course (not less than level 05) and obtained certificates as prescribed by the Tertiary and Professional Education Commission and obtained the National Vocational Qualification (N.V.Q.)
Other Special Qualifications
Has successfully completed a one year training course regarding computer hardware and software technicians and the use of internet and web, and has obtained 03 years experience in a Government Department/Corporation•Board/or an accepted institution.
Salary Scale -MA2 1 -Rs. [14610 10 x 145 7 x 170 4 x 240 20 x320 24610]
Salary Step - Rs.14,610/-
Age limit - Not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years.
Nature of the post and conditions of service
An Officer who is appointed to Grade III of the aforementioned service/post is appointed subject to probationary period of three (03) years and if he/she has maintained his/her official work and behavior in a satisfactory manner during his/her probationary period and if he/she has been successful at the first Efficiency bar examination he/she will be confirmed in the service/post at the end of the probationary period. He/she should contribute to the Employees' Provident Fund and the Employees Trust Fund
Mode of recruitment in service Recruitment will be done to Grade III of the service on a written competitive examination and/or a structural interview.
01. Language Proficiency
It is a question paper by which the Applicants ability regarding expression, understanding the usage of letters and the usage of grammatical rules can be tested.
02. Proficiency test
It is a question paper to test the Applicant's proficiency and ability to duly perform the official duties entrusted to the post.
03. Knowledge of the subject matter as is relevant to the post
It is a question paper to weigh the Applicants knowledge of the subject matter relevant to the post.
In order to be successful at the recruitment examination the Applicant should obtain at least 40°/ marks in each subject and a total of at least 50% for all three subjects.
Applicants should affix photocopies of the following documents to their Application Forms.
1. Copies of the educational certificates
2. A copy of the Birth Certificate
3. A copy of the National Identity Card
4. Certified copies of the certificates regarding experience.
The manner in which the Application Forms should be forwarded.
I. The Applicants who have fulfilled the qualifications for the above mentioned post should forward their Application Forms prepared by them to the Chairman, Sri Lanka National Film Corporation No.303, Rauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo 07, by registered post before 03/07/2014 On the to left hand corner of the envelope it should be mentioned that it is an Application Form for the post o Computer Technician.
II. Application Forms which are received later than on the closing date for applications will not accepted. If any false information mentioned in the Application Form is disclosed before or after recruitment. you will be considered to be disqualified for this post.
