Applications
are invited from citizens of Sri Lanka having the qualifications and experience
specified below and preferably having worked previously in Government /private large projects for the following posts on
contract basis for the Trincomalee Coal Power Project (TCPP).
1. Senior Clerk
– One Vacancy
1.1 Qualifications and Experience:
·
Passes in six
subjects at the GCE(O/L) Examination with at least five credit passes including
Sinhala, English and Mathematics in one sitting
·
Knowledge of MS Word
& Excel applications
·
Sufficient
knowledge of English to communicate with foreign consultants and contractors
·
15 years work experience as a clerk in recognized organization. Experience
in Government /Private large projects
will be an added advantage.
2. Clerk –
One Vacancy
2.1 Qualifications and Experience:
·
Passes in six
subjects at the GCE(O/L) Examination with at least five credit passes including
Sinhala, English and Mathematics in one sitting
·
Knowledge of MS Word
& Excel applications
·
Sufficient
knowledge of English to communicate with foreign consultants and contractors
·
10 years work experience
as a clerk in recognized organization. Experience in Government / Private large
projects will be an added advantage
3. Secretary
(English)– One Vacancy
3.1 Qualifications and Experience:
·
Passes in six
subjects at the GCE(O/L) Examination with at least six credit passes including Sinhala,
English and Mathematics in one sitting
·
Followed a
secretarial course in English including English typing & shorthand in
recognized institute or Followed a secretarial course in English and followed a
course on English typing & shorthand in recognized institute
·
Good knowledge in
computer applications
·
Very Good knowledge
of English to communicate with foreign consultants and contractors
·
10 years work experience
as a secretary in recognized organization. Experience in Government / Private large projects will be an
added advantage
4. Typist –
One Vacancy
4.2 Qualifications and Experience:
·
Passes in six
subjects at the GCE(O/L) Examination with at least four credit passes including
Sinhala, English and Mathematics in one sitting
·
Followed a course
on Sinhala & English Typing
·
Basic knowledge
in computer applications
·
Sufficient
knowledge of English to communicate with foreign consultants and contractors
·
10 years work experience
as a Typist in recognized organization. Experience in Government
/Private large projects will be
an added advantage
5. Drivers – Two Vacancies
51 Qualifications and Experience:
·
Passes in six
subjects at the GCE(O/L) Examination in one sitting
·
Applicants should have possessed a certificate
of competence with good record Issued by
the Commissioner of Motor Traffic to drive
C1 Class or Higher Class Vehicles for at least three (3) years.
·
In the case of applicants who have been awarded
a certificate by driving schools
conducted by the Ministry of Transport or Ministry of Youth Affaires & Employment,
the requirement of possessing the certificate of competence for three years is
waived.
·
Applicants should have a minimum height of 5
feet and 3 inches.
·
Applicants should possess a sound knowledge of
Highway Code and should be physically fit for driving during day and night and
must have a good eyesight and a good hearing.
·
10 years work
experience as a Driver in recognized organization. Experience in Government / Private
large projects will be an added advantage.

Terms
and Conditions of Service:
The
appointment will be on contract basis for a two(02) years term. The contract
may be extended for a further term depending on the requirement of the project.
Other
Benefits:
- Those selected will be entitled to Employee
Provident Fund (EPF) with Employees’ Contribution of 10% and CEB
Contribution of 15%
- Employees’ Trust Fund (ETF) Contribution of 3% by
the CEB.
