Applications are invited from the
citizens of Sri Lanka who have completed the qualifications for the following
posts vacant in this Institute.
Electrician - Grade II
Qualifications
:
i. Ability to read and write
ii
(a) Detecting of electrical faults; repair and assembling electrical items,
classification of transformers and all kinds of machines and equipment, cables
and wires, measuring equipment and its usages, various methods of wiring S
connecting, inspection of meters and small transformers.
(b) Reading and understanding
drawings & charts, reading measurements and noting down fraction
measurements.
(c) Should be conversant about the
safety and use of the tools taken at the Industry used while engaged in the
job.
iii. Should
have an experience of not less than two years (02) as an Electrician in a
Government Department, Government Corporation or a recognized Institution.
Salary
Scale : Rs. 15,650 - 16x140 -17,890 (Monthly) (U.PL 3Ciii)
Nurse - Grade II
Qualifications
:
i. Should have passed in 06 subjects with
credit passes for three (3) subjects in not more than
two sittings at the G.C.E. (Ord. Level) Examination.
and
ii. Nursing Certificate obtained from the
Medical Board of Sri Lanka.
Salary Scale : Rs. 16,535 - 7x155; 10x185 - 19,470 (Monthly) U-MT. 1 (iii A)
Other benefits for all posts
University
Salary Scale; A
percentage equivalent to 8% of the monthly salary paid by the
University will be credited.
University Provident Fund; A percentage equivalent to 7%
of the monthly salary paid by the
University will be credited and a
percentage equivalent to 10% will be credited from the employee.
Employees
Trust Fund; A
percentage of 3% of the salary will be credited by the University.
Cost of Living
Allowance; Rs.
5,850/= per month. (According to prevailing rules and regulations).
Should
be not over 45 years of age. (This age limit will not apply to applicants who
are presently in Government Service / Statutory Boards / Government
Corporations / University Sector).

certificates.
Applications received incomplete,
unclear, without copies of certificates and without required details and
received late will be rejected without any intimation.
Those who are employed in
Government Departments, Corporations or other Statutory Boards should submit
