Lanka for the following posts of the Coconut Research Board.

of Research Officer (Genetics & Plant Breeding Division,Coconut
Processing Research Division and Crop Protection Division)
Qualifications :
External : A four-year special
Degree with a first or second class upper in
Science, Agriculture or Chemical / Mechanical
Engineering from a
recognized University
OR
A four-year special Degree with a second
class lower in Science,
Agriculture or Chemical / Mechanical
Engineering from a
recognized University and a minimum of one
year Postgraduate
Degree in the relevant field
OR
A Degree in Science, Agriculture or
Chemical / Mechanical
Engineering and a two-year Postgraduate
Research Degree in the
relevant discipline
OR
A Postgraduate Degree in Engineering and
minimum of one year
post qualifying experience in a recognized
Institute.
Note : Preference will be given to
the candidates who have specialized in
the relevant field. Those specialized in
Biotechnology will be
preferred for one post in Crop Protection
Division.
Internal : The Officers appointed to
the Operational I Instructional (MM)
category before 01.01.2006 are eligible to
apply with the following
qualifications for the concessionary period
of five (5) years with
effect from the date of approval of this
Scheme of Recruitment.
i. A Degree in Science, Agriculture
or Chemical 1 Mechanical
Engineering and a minimum of five (05)
years satisfactory
service in the Operational / Instructional
(MA4) category.
ii. A minimum of ten (10) years
satisfactory service in the
Operational / Instructional (MA4) category.
Salary Scale :
ARI - 2006A 1 Rs. (24725 - 5x5500 – 5x645 –
15x770 -42250).
02. Post of Network Administrator (01
Post)
Qualifications :
External: A Bachelor's Degree in
Computer Science front a recognized
University with a minimum of three (3)
years post qualifying
experience in wide area network systems.
Note: Experience in Database
Management. Web Application
Development and sound knowledge of Standard
Software
Packages will be an added qualification.
Salary Scale:
MM 1-2-21006 I Rs. (25,605 – 10x645 -15x925
-45930).
Age :
Should be not less than 22 years and not
more than 45 years. The upper age limit
will not apply to internal candidates.
03. Post of Lab / Field Assistant
External : CCE (O/L) with six
subjects in one sitting with four credit passes
including Language Sinhala/Tamil), English
and Science /Agriculture and GCE (A/L) in Science with three passes in one sitting.
Note: Working experience in
Laboratory in Government Departments.
Corporations. Statutory Board or a reputed
Mercantile
Establishment will be a distinct advantage.
Internal : Employees of the
categories of primary level skilled. primary level
semi-skilled primary level unskilled who
possess the following
qualifications are eligible to apply.
GEE (O/L) with six subjects in one sitting
with four credit passes
including Language (Sinhala I Tami ),
English and Science /
Agriculture
AND
Minimum of five years service in a
permanent post under the
above employed category.
Salary Scale :
MA 1-2-2006 A : Rs. (13,450 - 10x145 – 7x170
- 12x290 - 12x345 - 23,710).
Age :
Should be not less than 18 years and not
more than 45 years. The upper age limit
will not apply to internal candidates.
GENERAL
Other Benefits :
1.Emoluments are presently free front
income tax.
2.Gratuity will be paid in accordance with
the Gratuity Act No. I2 of I933
3. Contributory Medical Aid Scheme
4.Provident Fund and Employees Trust Fund.
The candidate will be required
to contribute 10% and the Board will contribute
15% for PF and 3% for ETF of the Salary

employees of the Coconut Research
Board.
